Our small group track events at Harris Hill and COTA are limited to 10 and 30 participants respectively, allowing for an open session format with no waiting for a clock to get on track. Intermediate solo level drivers and above can enjoy more predictable passing and a great social experience. Practice your driving, not your point-bys.
To participate in our track days, drivers should have intermediate or above level experience and be approved to run solo with other organizations. They should be comfortable maintaining control of their car at all times and understand basic track etiquette, such as passing rules and signaling as well as all flags. Our events are designed for experienced drivers who want to enjoy the track in a safe and controlled environment.

Our events start with a 15-30 minute driver’s meeting, followed by open lapping. With limited participants, you’ll enjoy plenty of track time with unrestricted passing with point bys. We provide food and drinks, and our open session format means you won’t have to wait for a clock to get on track.

To participate in a track day with Get On The Track, you will need a few things. First, you will need a well-maintained, track-ready car. You will also need a helmet that meets safety standards. Additionally, you should have intermediate level or above experience and be approved to run solo with other organizations. Finally, you should come with a willingness to learn and make friends.
Most modern cars can be safely run on a race track with no modifications. If the car is well maintained, and the brakes, tires and suspension are in good condition, it should be well suited for the track. It’s a common misconception that a car needs to be modified before it goes on a race track.
A Snell-certified helmet is the only safety equipment required to run at most tracks. SA helmets are preferred for driving, as they are fire rated, while M helmets are not.
We do not have assigned instructors for our track days, but there will be instructors at the event. These instructors are available to right seat with you, as well as for track-side instruction, and ride-alongs. If you are looking for dedicated, one-on-one instruction, you must book a private driver coaching session.
Our track days are open track format, so the amount of track time you get is up to you. The details of each event will include a “track hot” and a “track cold” time, between these two times, the track is open to all participants. There’s no need to let a run group dictate when you go on track, you decide.
Yes, we cap the number of participants in order to provide the best driving experience possible. At Harris Hill, our track events are capped at 10 participants. At COTA, we cap the number of participants at 30. We believe that your track time should be spent practicing driving, not point bys.
Yes, we provide water, Gatorade, and snacks track-side. We also provide lunch or dinner depending on the start and end time of the event.
