Scott Dollahite

Scott grew up in the motorsports world with his father being a racing driver for most of his childhood. He raced karts from age 6-15 and then transitioned to race spec Miata and formula Mazda in SCCA and NASA at 16 years old. This is also when he started instructing, becoming Chief Driving Instructor of Driveway Austin Motorsports Academy at just 18.

Scott’s racing career has continued to Super Copa (a Mexican pro series) where he races semi trucks when he’s not coaching other drivers at race tracks all around the country.

Scott raced karts at the local club level from age 6-11 and then transitioned into pro shifter karts – competing in a professional karting tour (SKUSA) until he was 15. After years in the paddock of his father’s ALMS races as well as his race shop, Scott transitioned once again into spec Miata and formula Mazda racing in SCCA and NASA at 16 years old.

This is also when he began his coaching career at a private track built by his father (which later became Driveway Austin Motorsports Academy). Scott became the chief driving instructor at Driveway at 18 where he developed curriculum for all of the family racing school’s courses while continuing to teach kids karting and compete in Spec Miata and Formula Mazda.
